Sarah Heard
           - Music Lessons

                      Sarah has been teaching in Hampshire since 2006, and has a
                    100% pass rate. Sarah currently has vacancies for students
                   on flute, saxophone and music theory - at beginner, intermediate
                  and advanced levels.

                When teaching, Sarah aims to cover a variety of topics, to give the
               student a firm musical grounding. An average hour’s lesson will cover:

              • Musical theory How to work out scales, rhythmic analysis & note
             value evaluation, modulation and time signatures.
           • Listening to music Discussion of different musical styles &
           identification of different instruments in short excerpts.          
         • Musical expression & interpretation Creating different tone
         colours/moods to suit the piece, and realise the composer’s intention.
       • Aural skills Singing & pitching notes correctly, listening to modulations
      and tonality as well as identifying cadences and different tonal centres.
